We got there about 35 minutes before they closed. We ordered the calamari for an app, I had the pineapple curry with chicken & hubby had the spicy Thai basil with shrimp & chicken. The calamari was the best I've ever had. Hands down. It tasted so fresh and NOT rubbery!!!! NOT rubbery!!!! The pineapple curry was creamy good with medium heat ofset by pineapple chunks. I love hot pineapple. Amazing. The shrimp were big and juicy perfect size serving. The waitstaff were amazing as the food. A must try. We'll be back. Very cute decor
The food at Hill Monkeys is great. Every dish we’ve tried has been excellent quality. Soups are a tiiiiny bit salty, balanced out with extra spice. Wait staff is always helpful, friendly, quick, and ready with a smile. Bathrooms are always impeccably clean.
Our first time here and Rona was amazing! I’m pretty sure I’ve never seen someone multi task so well and be so kind doing it. Food was amazing. We had the appetizer sampler and the pineapple fried rice... SO GOOD!
We had an incredible meal, but the real star of the night was Alexa! She provided top-notch service, making us feel welcome and taken care of from start to finish. Her recommendations were spot on, and her friendly attitude made the experience even better. As for the food—wow! The red curry with shrimp was rich and flavorful, and adding pineapple took it to another level. The peppered vegetables with deep-fried pork belly were a perfect mix of crispy and fresh. The salads were refreshing, and the drinks were strong—just how we like them! If you visit, ask for Alexa. She’ll make your meal unforgettable!
My family and I absolutely loved Hill Monkeys Thai Cuisine. Excellent food and service with very friendly employees. Will definitely be back. Combination Red Curry was best I've ever had one spice level down from the top.
Our first visit was a pleasant experience. When we walked in for lunch, we were immediately greeted and were able to choose the seats we wanted. The tables were clean and the atmosphere was nice. It's a very old building, so expect some old building smell, but it wasn't so bad that I wouldn't come back. We ordered spring rolls for an appetizer. They were delicious! Then, for lunch, we both ordered the chicken and rice plate. The portion was huge! I ate maybe a fourth of it before I had to box it to go. That said, I thought the price of the lunch was on point because of the large portion and small salad that came with it. The server asked us if we wanted heat or no heat for each meal. I chose no heat. My chicken and rice had a lovely taste, somewhat buttery and savory undertones with lots of eggs and veggies. I would order it again. My boyfriend ordered his the hottest and would have liked it hotter, but he enjoyed it. Overall, it was a nice visit. The only recommendation would be to maybe get dehumidifiers to keep all the metal from oxidizing on the bathroom fixtures and wherever else in the building.
My friend and I gave this restaurant a try tonight and it did not disappoint. It's a very clean establishment. Friendly staff and delicious food and drinks. Go ahead and see for yourself. Food: Large portions, tasty and fresh. A bit on the sweet side. Cocktails: Overall delicious Not very strong and could be bigger for 12 each Appetizers: Very tasty, great portion and good price. Very good Thai food at a decent price. The fried rice was cooked perfectly, and the spice was just right. We'll be coming back the next time we're craving Thai food in Crestview.
